GuideLines for Authors
The Journal of Social Sciences, Humanities and Innovation (JSSHI) welcomes original scholarly contributions that advance knowledge in the fields of social sciences and humanities. All manuscripts submitted to the journal must comply with the following guidelines.
General Submission Conditions
- The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors have approved the content and consented to its submission.
- Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication is strictly prohibited.
- Manuscripts must fall within the Aims and Scope of the journal.
Types of Manuscripts
- Research Articles
- Original, full-length research papers presenting significant and novel findings.
- Maximum length: 10,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.
- The manuscript should not have been published previously.
- Review Articles
- Comprehensive and critical reviews of recent literature in areas relevant to social sciences and humanities.
- Reviews should primarily focus on literature published within the last five years.
- Reviews must demonstrate originality, analytical depth, and scholarly contribution.
Manuscript Structure
Title Page
The title page should include:
- Title of the manuscript (maximum 150 characters, including spaces)
- Running title (optional; maximum 50 characters, including spaces)
- Full name(s) of author(s)
- Institutional affiliation(s): institution name, city, and country
- Corresponding author clearly indicated with an asterisk (*)
- Full postal address and email address of the corresponding author
For multi-institutional authorship, affiliations should be indicated using superscript numbers.
Abstract
- Maximum 250 words for both research and review articles.
- The abstract should briefly summarize the background, objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions.
- References should not be included in the abstract.
Keywords
Provide 3–6 keywords immediately after the abstract.
Introduction
- Present the background and context of the study.
- Review relevant literature concisely without excessive detail.
- Clearly state the objectives or research questions at the end of the section.
Methodology / Research Questions
- Describe the research design, methods, data sources, and analytical procedures in sufficient detail.
- Previously published methods should be cited; any modifications must be clearly explained.
Results and Discussion
- Results and discussion may be combined or presented as separate sections.
- Results should be presented clearly and logically without repeating data already shown in tables or figures.
- The discussion should interpret findings in relation to existing literature.
Conclusions
- Summarize the key findings and their implications.
- Conclusions may be presented as a separate section or at the end of the discussion.
List of Abbreviations / Acronyms
- All abbreviations and acronyms must be defined at first mention in the text.
- A separate list should be provided if multiple abbreviations are used.
Conflict of Interest Statement
Authors must include a conflict of interest statement. Example:
“The author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper.”
Acknowledgements
Acknowledgements should recognize individuals, institutions, or organizations that provided support but do not meet authorship criteria. Financial and material support must be clearly stated.
References
Referencing Style
JSSHI follows the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing style.
- Authors should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Edition).
- In-text citations and reference lists must strictly follow APA guidelines.
In-text Citations
- Use the author–date format: (Kaushik & Walsh, 2019).
Reference List
- References must be listed alphabetically by author surname.
- Multiple works by the same author in the same year should be distinguished using letters (a, b, c).
- All authors of a work must be listed.

Book:

Online Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s submission system.
- Authors must register and create an account on the journal website.
- After login, authors can submit manuscripts through the online submission portal.
- The submission system allows authors to track the progress of their manuscript throughout the review process.
- Manuscripts submitted via email will not be considered.
